Was like last week loads sat around me slagging him off - then 3 goals later nothing.. He hasn't been with us half a season yet for goodness sake! He said himself it's been a big step up give him time.

I think people get annoyed, myself included, because he doesn't to the basics well enough.

The minimum you expect from a player with his skill set is to beat a man on the odd occasion, work hard and not constantly get dispossessed. I'm not overly critical of his final ball because I know that needed improving on from his time with Liverpool.

Maybe I'm being ultra critical of him but if you contrast the start he has made with Martial the difference is staggering.

Martial looks like he belongs at United's level. He looks like he knows he is good enough for them and he can make the difference. Sterling on the other hand looks overawed and play the safe pass than make something happen.

He is good enough to be the difference maker for us but I get the feeling he doesn't believe it. KDB knows he can make the difference and does.

He was moved to behind Bony last week and it worked a treat. Him playing on the left doesn't work, de Bruyne playing on the right doesn't either. I think the sacrifice of Navas for an extra midfielder meant too many changes in style up front and it just didn't work. It did add to the defensive side of things though.

The problem is that if we play Sterling in that position then we not only sacrifice his defensive work rate, but also move Silva away from his favoured position.

It's a good problem to have but we looked at our peak when Navas and Sterling offered balance on each wing. However, that would mean only one of Silva or De Brunye starting.

We could quite easily move KDB to the left, Sterling to the right and Silva in the middle but again that would leave Kolarov exposed. Although dropping Yaya and playing Dinho and either Nando or Delph could add to the balance of the team.

All fair points but think you will see a different player next year.

Not a good game today. Did he beat and skip past a player once at all today?

Would have taken Toure off for Navas and put him in the middle though.

When silva isn't playing though we could. He should play there next Sat if Silva still not fit. Fernando drops out at home.

We probably will. Upon reflection calling him a fraud was out of order and harsh but it's because I can see what he is capable of and am frustrated that he is playing within himself.

I don't believe that his age is an excuse though. When your his age and an established international, you should want to show the world what you are capable of. You should be fearless and use the ability that you have evidently got to your advantage. He's a much better player than Mane and Montero but both of them show a desire that Raheem is currently lacking.

Hopefully we won't have to wait until next year to see him become a dangerous player for us.

We need to remember he is 20 years old and learning the game , hes having extra training sessions with Kiddo on finishing , his attiude is right and he wants to learn , it could be another couple of seasons , but we will have a very good player on our hands. Look what the rags have got Depay ? clubbing it every night and acting like billy big bollocks , give me a hungry player like Raheem anyday.

----------------------- Yaya ----------- Dinho ---------------------------
Navas --------------------- Sterling ----------------------------- KDB
------------------------------ Bony ----------------------------------------

Is more than good enough to see of Norwich. In fact that team might have even got us a result today. The problem still comes when/if we ever get a fully strength side. Surely it would suit the player to get a proper run of games in a settled position.

Maybe KDB, Sterling and Nabas in front of the midfield 3 could of worked better.....but then when analyzing in hindsight, you can never be wrong.
