I think Pellegrini is managing him really well through the occasional rotation and careful substitutions. He's making sure he doesn't get burnt out and doesn't get a huge amount of scrutiny from the press. One poor game and the press will be all over him. Last night he was brilliant and looked confident and made for the big stage. Took his goal well, a sign that his finishing is improving and to get his first European goal will be fantastic for him.

Looking at the European experience, I think our improved performance last night is down to the number of European games many of our side have now played. Fernandinho has played 91 games in Europe overall, Fernando has played 61 and Yaya 78. To put that into perspective; Busquets has played 69, Rakitic 60 and Iniesta 116. We've got plenty of nous and experience to see games out now. Plenty of big game players too. Sterling made his 22nd appearance in Europe last night at age 20. He's got so much experience for a young lad and is starting to show how good he can be. It's crazy how young he is and scary just how good he might become in the future. We've potentially a real world class talent on our hands.

Don't like seeing the comments he's received from supposedly Liverpool fans. it's a fucking shame.

These same cunts will be cheering if or when Balotelli/Benteke/Sturridge score for them.
I'm sure they cheered when John Barnes scored for them.

As for his deadpan facial expressions in the interview last night... is it no surprise considering the media hatred towards him?
i wouldn't even talk to the bastards if I was him.
Also, he had a few knocks in the game so it was sensible to sub him and he may of been a little grumpy with feeling pain from those knocks.

Superb signing, has alot more development to do and shirely around the likes of KDB/Aguero and so on he'll learn shitloads.

Let the cunts boo him, they'll be cheering for Raheem when he's fucking scoring for England. hypocritical wankers.

if was him I'd fuck England off and play for his mothers country Jamaica.

Manchester City star Raheem Sterling suffers barrage of racist abuse after posting family picture on Instagram

Raheem Sterling was subjected to a barrage of vile racist abuse after innocently posting a family snap on Instagram.

The Blues star uploaded a smiling selfie with his little girl and a relative, which he captioned: "Perfect Sunday with my niece and my daughter #LaFam."

But the 20-year-old's comments were hijacked by irate supporters of his former club Liverpool, who posted hate-filled, racist remarks.

One vile user branded the forward a "black c***" adding "f*** your stupid family hope they burn".
Typical scouse inbreeding causes this, all stoned and dealing, jobless and utter inbreeding. This is what happens when you upset the cult that is lfc. Sooner they all realise they are nothing like they were in the 70's and early 80's the better, they are a mid table club at best DEAL WITH IT!!!!

Felt like the shackles were off yesterday; some of his touches past defenders were exquisite and his decision making was by and large much better. Great to see, and likewise mirrored by a rejuvenated Navas on the other flank. After years of often ponderous, narrow possession play from our 'wide' midfielders, it's a joy to have two pacy, direct players stretching the pitch and constantly putting the opposition under pressure.

He's a very good player when he has space to run into but seems to struggle when up against a packed defence with our space to run into.

I'm surprised they managed to type anything to be honest, never mind the poor education they've obviously received, you'd think their knuckles would be too badly bruised from dragging off the ground to use a keyboard or touchscreen successfully.

Had a face like thunder when he was interviewed. Honestly think he's getting pissed off with being subbed even when he has a good game like last night. We know it was tactical but would like to see him play against Villa and not get subbed unless he is having a shocker. Just for his confidence.
i think your really reading way to much into that one,no way he would throw a stropp ,he is the new lad who has stepped up a level ,he knows he dosnt play every minute ,just like lots of city players

Yeh he doesn't seem to get to fussed when I've seen him being interview before. He's a very calm character which is why he playing week in week out for best team in the league. It hasn't got his head. Also baring in mind he's Jamaican so there pretty chilled guys anyway. Thought he was excellent last night and that's the player I thought we would see when we bought him. He needed time to settle in it's not easy for a 20 year old. Think he will be flying for the villa game now.
