its a myth that he poor technically,when he gets the ball in tight areas he has a defender up his back he then has to find a pass whilst surrounded by opponents most of the time he makes the best option,outstanding in all aspects tonight, the back heel to Silva was sublime

Very frustrating at times with his constant cutting inside that is easy to read and defend against - not exactly his fault though as I think he should play on the right (even just in spells) so he can try and take on his opponents on the outside. He's so one footed he doesn't do it on the left.

But showed some good composure in the box tonight and it was very pleasing to see as I've torn my hair out at his lack of composure in previous games.

He's 21 and has delivered more for us in the CL than arguably any player. He's a gem. Love the lad, hopefully he's had a cracking day.

Surprised by the grief he gets from City fans. Been a threat almost every game we've played in even if he doesn't score/assist. Could hear fans around me getting angry at him at half-time & have no doubt there'll have been plenty on here too, yet he'd seemed by far our biggest threat even at 45 minutes to me.

Heavily involved in all 4 goals today, scored 2 himself, set one up beautifully & his flick to Kolarov for the 4th wasn't half bad either.

Would some people rather have another Navas? Consistent, works hard, doesn't give the ball away much, tracks back - but offers nothing in attack.

Understand frustration at missed chances etc. but seems so obvious what he brings to the table for me. I'd rather have an unpredictable threat who may miss chances & make poor decisions, than someone who'll consistently be average with little to no threat.

At least he did a lot better in the second half

The two skills he needs to improve on are finishing and convincing the officials when he has been fouled. He gets fouled a hell of a lot and needs to find the best way to show the officials.

He's now 21. If he can improve his finishing, the world could be at his feet.
