Everyone would love more consistency but being consistent comes with experience and repetitions. Kid is only 21 and he should improve over time. Still, the fact remains and he proved it last night that he can be a game changer.

It's not amazing. He had a poor game for long spells last night. He did keep cutting inside too much and it's predictable and easy to make ineffective. And he has shown some poor composure in front of goal a large number of times this season yet he showed a composure last night and took his goals well.
22 appearances. 9 goals. 4 assists. 21 yesterday.

Disagree, he was fantastic. All night he continually demanded the ball, and was very impressive, running their back line ragged. Took both his goals well, and had a great assist too.
Agree with this. Our best player by far last night and in Europe this season.

If you can't just enjoy that performance for what it was without still trying to pick holes in his game then I guess he's never going to be good enough.
He was the match winner last night. On his 21st birthday he put us top of our group in a CL that has often left a bitter taste. Yes, he can run into blind ally's, yes he can and should be a little bit more composed, but fuck me, when he's got the ball at his feet the defenders are terrified - even though they know he's going to cut inside! The one he laid of to Silva was the perfect example. Running right across the inside of their box skipping past challange after challange leaving the defenders scared of giving away a penalty unfortunately Daves finish was weak on that occasion.
His goals were well taken, his link up with Kolorov quality and his all round energy good to see after a couple of very lethargic team performances.

But that makes no sense because they play a totally different style of football. If Mata was playing in a more attack minded and open team he would probably have more than 4 goals to his name.

i`m disappointed with sterling too, while still trying to remember he is only just 21 and playing in an unsettled side with a huge amount of injuries. as for me comparing sterlings goal tally and you saying it makes no sense, it`s what the press do on a daily basis. smalling gets lorded for being the best thing since sliced bread while mangala, otamendi and demichelis get ripped to pieces on more or less a daily basis, the press dont take into consideration the more defensive set up of united and our lack of defensive cover in most games.

Played well and was instrumental to our win. Can imagine a lot of Liverpool fans annoyed with that preformance.

I do think he needs to work on going on the outside as well as cutting in as would help to create some space for him.

A few goals recently have come from Sterling winning the ball back high up the pitch as well!!

Keep it up Raheem, I think his attitude has been excellent since the move and nights like last night show exactly why he moved!!

Looked decent to me in the first half too. Outstanding game overall and worked hard to make things happen.
I agree and frankly I'm sick of hearing so many people slag him off, bottom line yes he has cost us £44 million so far but that price tag wasn't his fault, he has just turned 21 and not even at the half way point of the season he has 9 goals and around 5/6 assists and he is apparently shit and fucking useless, ud think people would have learnt there lesson with Dzeko as the grass isn't always greener.

To put it into perspective Kun who is world class as a striker at 21 was scoring around 20 a season and raheem is on the left wing and if he continues the way he is going will have similar figures.

Have not been convinced that he has the essential raw materials but last night he really shine. Looking forward to seeing how he does in the next few games. Hope he keeps it up.
