When you're in a team as shit as Liverpool's was last season negativity can't help but surround your whole game, so you snatch at chances, the crowd get on your back and you don't score for a while. He clearly *can* finish though, spectacularly well too, as we've seen in preseason and during games against City in the past. That'll just come with time and I genuinely believe he'll be a 15-20 goals and 15-20 assists a season man for us. Can't wait.

I think it's a little bit technical, not just confidence - his shot placement isn't perfect and seem to lack power. He'll get it sorted quickly though, and if it is partly confidence, I'm sure it will be cured with the fact he's not carrying our attack like he was the dippers.

No one should be too worried though, he's making the right decisions, just not quite executing them yet, at some point it will just click, and he'll be off. I'm expecting him to get 15-20 goals in all comps. His numbers so far in his career have been similar to both Rooney and Ronaldo. Both of them made a large jump at 21 years old - Sterling is going to make that jump this season.
 
Sterling is going to be such an important asset for us. He's exactly what we need!
