You don't need to justify it mate. We've had enough time to judge nasri now and when the chips are down he will let you down. He's a fraud. Piss and wind. A no mark. Worthless. A mere sacrificial pawn. Yesterday is all he is useful for - coming on as a sub for 20 minutes in a game that is already won purely for the sole reason to prevent a meaningful player for us from getting injured. He's wank

Nasri's a good player. Not world class, nowhere near the league of Silva or De Bruyne, but a good player nonetheless.

He is being eased into a position where he's a squad player and he either likes it or lumps it, because that's the deal if you're not quite good enough at a top club. The question for him is whether he wants to stay and be a squad player or move on. I reckon he'll stay because he's pretty settled in Manchester and well liked by the squad and people who work at the club. He's also still an excellent option to have in the squad in many situations. People underestimate his versatility and I reckon it's one of the reasons why he's still at the club and why Mancini and Pellegrini both have had chances to fuck him off and haven't.

The anger he seems to generate in people is a bit odds for me with his overall time at the club. But then I felt the same about Dzeko as well and he managed to generate an awful lot of hate too.

Bit early in the season to be writing any player off. All can play a part.

city fans have a tendency to look for a player to slag off. Seen it many times.

nasri today, navas yesterday, dzeko before. I could write a list

Isn't that the issue? He came into this club as a player that was on the verge of being world-class and had all the potential to do so.

A player of his quality should have want to be more than a squad player. But he doesn't. Could you imagine Silva, KDB, Kun, Yaya, Kompany etc being happy with such a role. Of course not because they have the desire to succeed and be the best that they can be. Nasri hasn't; he's okay being a squad player and collecting a handsome paycheck that he doesn't deserve. He lacks the will to be successful or fulfill his potential and, after 4 years of it, people are sick of it. This GIF sums up Nasri's character to the tee.

As I say I don't really get the hate he generates. That .gif doesn't change all the goals he's scored or all the assists he's made in his time at the club. If you choose to focus on that one moment to excuse the hate your laying on a City player go for your life. In my eyes Nasri is a champion. Two time champion. When he arrived at the club we weren't anywhere near that level and he played a significant part in getting us there.

why did you include this? ;( ;( ;(

Fuck me just what we need - endless fucking repeats of the rapists winner. Like Sky sports news on here.

No idea why anyone brings up that scabby winner as an example of him being a coward. The media trumpeted it because they were still butthurt that he'd left the accountants and then backed it up with silverware and some people seem to be all too keen to just eat that shit up. The goal didn't go in because he hid(which he didn't Dzeko pushes in front of him), the ball went in because of the complete opposite reason. It went in because he actually tried to get in the way of it, had he not stuck his leg out to block it then it wouldn't have deflected and wouldn't have fluked it's way into the corner. The ball went wide of him, he tried to stop it, the ball ricocheted into the corner.

I'm no fan of Nasri, but people buying the media's version of events on that goal just pisses me off.

On the actual topic, I don't think he's good enough for us as he just doesn't offer enough consistently to play in such an important and sought after position, when he offers so little defensively. Navas may have his flaws, but he improves the team and you know what you're going to get with him and he won't let you down. With Nasri, you have no idea whether he's even going to even try, or whether he'll play at Yaya tempo, or do something petulant if things go against him. Consistency is what you need from a squad player, but you have no idea with Nasri whether he's going to be excellent or half arsed.

Absolute bollocks. We hoped he would be a good backup for silva when we signed him, he's proven otherwise. De bruyne is a good backup for silva. Arguably better in some instances. As a second backup you'd maybe look at sterling replacing silva, eventually you'd settle for the nothingness that is Samir Nasri

A reliable deputy? Absolute complete and utter fabrication. If you can look someone in the eye and genuinely think it when you say that 'nasri was a reliable deputy to silva' then mate you are either an idiot or you're just making a very bad bad call. I think it's the latter

point where I said KDB is not better than Silva. In fact I rate de Bruyne farbetter than Silva. But we didnt have de Bruyne in thr past did we?

And during our second league title win watch the games again how he and Yaya was a handful for other teams. And he might not be the KDB you wanted but he did help Yaya with the free kicks in training. There's mre to Nasri than you think.

yes he's not the player he used to be now but as with my post, back then his 1-2s and dragging players out were sublime. He's not the player now because he has issue with fitness.

If you read my post previou to the one I posted, I rate Nasri as a good player. Why would I compare him to KDb who is a marquee signing? Marquee signings don't deputise, they lead.

I agree on this. Look at the 4-1 derby a couple back, he was excellent that day. Look at the Roma away game, excellent again. Consistency is his problem added to that, he just isn't as good as our top performers as you pointed out.
He is a quality squad player. Your comparison to dzeko is spot on.

He didn't score a goal yesterday after coming back from a long injury and hurt himself again.
Guess what? Dagger time .
