Re: Sergio Aguero

It's crazy
I'm buzzing that Sergio's out 4-6 weeks.

Enough time to recharge his batteries and go again.

Re: Sergio Aguero

Hopefully on the bench for the Arsenal game on the 18th Jan and in the starting 11 for Chelsea on 31st.

If we don't get 13 points from the next 15 even without him I would be disappointed.

Re: Sergio Aguero

Rather wait till the club announce this, but if it is a minimum of four weeks then that will be fantastic news considering what might have been..

Re: Sergio Aguero

"Sky Sources" are just reporting what broke in Argentina then Spain 16 or more hours ago. Then the evening papers said similar. Then Pellegrini himself told a fan "no more than 4 weeks". And now Sky Sources, always first out of the blocks, have said the same. So I think we can pretty much rule out anything really serious and long-term. Let's just hope it's closer to 4 weeks than 6 weeks and he'll be back for the huge games in January.

#MCFC confirm Sergio Aguero could be back for the FA Cup tie at the beginning of January or the Everton game in the EPL the following week

Re: Sergio Aguero

The only silver lining to Aguero's injury is that Dzeko is now back and when you look at the teams we have to play up until January they are the sort that we should be beating regardless of whether Aguero is playing or not. The movement was good on Saturday and players were running off Edin and supporting him which means we will still be able to score goals. We will of course miss Aguero's ability to score from anywhere and tear opponents apart but we should still be confident on winning the next 5-6 games without Aguero. We've seen Dzeko play well on his own - when he is used as the sole target to create chances or when we try and get the ball in the box he will always try and have a shot and he also tends to choose a pass when that's the better option.

Hopefully it's 4 weeks and Aguero's back for Arsenal and Chelsea and then the CL knockouts if we make them!

Re: Sergio Aguero

If someone had said to me that I would have to choose a 4 - 6 week period of games that Sergio would miss this season, I don't think I would have picked a better time than now

Hopefully Silva can keep us ticking over until Sergio is back
