Like everyone, I hope Sergio's injury isn't too bad. However, we managed to win the league last season with him making only occasional appearances.
Personally, I couldn't give a toss about the so called "Champions League." Only insofar as it impacts on our PL form. The victory over Bayern obviously gave them a lift. Missing out now, and with Sergio injured, might send us off the other way.
I just hope we come out of it well, because Chelsea are our only serious rivals for the title. Give me the PL title, or the last 16 or even 8 of the CL, then I know what I want.
And what I want isn't watching mid-table shit like I saw tonight from two teams who are frankly well below our level. Just circle the wagons, and get on with it.

Whether you like the CL or not, it's one of the clubs key goals. The revenue, global marketing etc from playing in the latter stages is essential to our development and essential for us to make more money from sponsorships and attract the very best players. The squad we have means it shouldn't be a case of premier league or CL knockouts. We want both and we can have both.

The mail are saying he could be out for longer than we first thought.

Manchester City fear striker Sergio Aguero could be out for longer than was first thought.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini had hoped to have the Argentine back within four weeks but scans have revealed that Aguero, who injured his knee in Saturday’s 1-0 win against Everton, has a twisted medial ligament that is expected to take longer to recover from.
The injury is similar to the one David Silva suffered on October 29 and the Spaniard has not played since.

Never forget that the Fail, more than any other paper, is dedicated to producing dozens and dozens of stories per day designed entirely as click-bait. They will say absolutely anything to get the armchair rag and gooner hordes into a lather of indignation, and in this instance the chance to sneer at the length of time the 'one man team' will be without its 'one man', will be irresistable to them.

I doubt Aguero has even had his scan yet, and if he has we won't be briefing Ladyboy first on the subject. Anything that excuse for a reporter has to say will be pure speculation.

Having said all that, long term exposure to City tells me that if the club does eventually announce a 4 week recovery period, he'll be out for double that!

on the money.

Jesus, I never saw that one coming the day before we play Roma in a make or break Champions League match.

It most certainly is, and not progressing would be a blow to the club and so should be a blow to fans with the club's interests at heart. Of course, the silver lining to the cloud of elimination would be it helps our title bid, but that shouldn't change anybody's perception that being knocked out would be a big disappointment.

I am desperate to win tomorrow night and go through. I actually had a dream last night we were in the final, and it was going on, and I hadn't got a ticket and was desperately trying to run to a pub.

Those of us on the CL Scheme will be ok, Bill ;-)

It's going to happen, sooner rather than later.

Didn't Silva suffer a setback in training though?

He was scheduled to be back for Bayern, which was 4 weeks from his injury.
