Re: Sergio Aguero

City might be keeping it all in house regarding how serious his injury is till after the CFA opening and the big game tonight so it didn't put a big downer on city this week.. With Silva supposed to be out for around a month and it's been about 6 weeks...

Re: Sergio Aguero

What this shows is the sheer depth of our squad. We've lost a talent like Aguero for a period of time but we welcome back for me our most important player and the best player in the premier league Spanish Dave.

I'd fancy myself for the golden boot if he was supplying the passes. Add to the that the enigma that is Dzeko who looks like he could be bullied by a baby deer off the ball and couldn't trap a cannon ball on occasions. However the guys goal scoring record speaks for itself, give him game time and he will find the back of the net, and in big games and when it counts on the title run in.

Throw into the mix that Nasri and Yaya have now found their form the grand sum of it all will be City will cope and welcome back a player primed for the second half of the season and the all important push to retain our trophy.

This does not look good now. It'll take him 3 weeks or so when he's back to get his sharpness back, and we're without Yaya too in January.

It' going to take a huge effort from the players too make up for this. We did it last season, but then we had Negredo

It's a lot better than being out for the rest of the season.
Of course, but the ramifications are obvious.

if we were a one man team it would

Sergio Aguero: Man City striker out for four to six weeks - Pellegrini

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is set to miss between four and six weeks with a knee ligament injury, manager Manuel Pellegrini says.
The Argentine, 26, was injured in the third minute of Saturday's 1-0 win over Everton after a challenge with Muhamed Besic, and left the pitch in tears.
"He will be out for four to six weeks," said Pellegrini, whose side face Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday.
"It will depend on his recovery. But our team doesn't depend on one player."
City are trying to avoid Champions League elimination in Rome, and the absence of Aguero - the Premier League's top scorer with 14 goals - is a big blow.
Pellegrini's side will be knocked out if Group E rivals CSKA Moscow win away to Bayern Munich.
A draw for Leonid Slutsky's side in Munich would mean City need to win in Rome to go through. But a score draw would be enough for Pellegrini's team if CSKA lost.
Aguero has earned widespread acclaim for his performances this season, with Pellegrini hailing the striker as "one of the best players in the world".
His highlights include scoring all four in a 4-1 rout of Tottenham on 18 October and a hat-trick in the 3-2 Champions League win over Bayern Munich on 25 November.

reading between the lines it'll be a miracle if he's back playing by Easter

MP said in the MEN that he'd had a scan and so I fail to see what else there is to read into it.
