And no, he isn't staying until we win tbe CL.

Because even with Sergio we won't win it.

So he'll have to spend the rest of his career at City, which he won't do.

Madrid and Barcelona will be in for him in the coming seasons.

The end!

oh dear. We have enough talent in our squad to put things right. It's early days

it's anything but

It's perhaps my biggest concern about us playing such shit. If we are not extremely careful, Sergio and Spanish Dave will be off. I pray to God that doesn't happen, but it is a worry.

Silva to replace Xavi at Barca. Aguero as Real's new toy next summer. Both a real possibility if we don't reinforce the squad with world class players.

Out of curiosity; how could a team look like, if built to suit Kun? Formation, players?
We sort of did it with Tevez. One of the big things is making him the only 'selfish player'. This is one argument why Dzeko is not suited to playing with Sergio. Dzeko is a good player and if a team was built around him, he would thrive, but he does not have the desire at the moment, to put himself about like Sergio does in a system which does not fully compliment him.

To build a team around Aguero, you have to create a situation where he can get fantastic service from out wide, but also support and protection from behind. Silva in a number 10 role is ideal due to his unselfishness and concentration on creating rather than finishing. A solid base behind him is then key in regards to when we are not in possession. Secondly, slow laboured, possession based football is not ideal for a player like Aguero. He has bags of pace and the ability to beat players, so a faster, more direct game (Im not saying hoof hoof hoof) with more assertiveness and conviction is needed as this creates a scenario where Aguero has opposition defenders on the back foot and can put them to the sword.

Finally, play should be focused in and around him in the final third, or be put into spaces which he can get to. Other players have to accept that their role and the success of the team hinges on Aguero being treated as the talisman (some of the bigger egos dont usually like this) as they must sacrifice their own chances and move into positions, to create space and opportunities for Aguero to move into and score. A big component of the space created is, by stretching the play so that the defence is stretched also. Obviously, many teams see Silva quite rightly, as a major threat and can stick one or two players onto him, which in turn makes the service from the wide players or players just behind Silva so crucial as they will have more time and opportunity to operate as Silva will take up the focus of an extra man.

That is how I would approach it, in a plan A type of scenario.

When Aguero is injured, Jovetic can fit quite well into a similar system, with he being the main focus of the play.

They're both so grounded and such great professionals that it hopefully won't happen. But you couldn't begrudge it either of them. Two of the best players in the world, deserve the chance to prove themselves as such at the very highest level. And let's be right, if either of them made the slightest noise about being unhappy, they'd be no repeat of Yaya flashing his knickers and finding no takers. Every club in world football would be all over them.

Re: Sergio Aguero

I've got a horrible feeling he's going next summer. He's going to have an amazing season the the usual suspects, my guess Bayern will get him. I hope to God this doesn't happen but he's saving us this season.
We need to off load the passengers in the summer. Sick of it.

Exactly, oh dear!

If you think Serg is going to stay in a team that can't beat QPR in the PL, let alone CSKA in the CL, regardless of what he's just said/stated, you must be deluded.

Rdgardless, the pull of Real or Barca will tell on the end.

People have been saying that every season for the last three years. It's quite probable that he will leave at some point, but I doubt two results against QPR and CSKA will be the deciding factor for him.
