Selling him would risk upsetting the equilibrium of the squad. He's our talisman and I believe we owe him a significant degree of loyalty and indulgence for a number of reasons.

It's possible that he won't be the main man, attacking wise, for as long as we anticipated, but that doesn't mean he should be readily dicarded. He needs more quality around him in the attacking part of the squad to reduce our overarching reliance upon him.

He's willingly given us his best years and is owed the benefit of the doubt in return, imo.

You might not blame him for thinking that he'd get kicked less in Spain. However, I think that he'll do another couple of years or so at the Etihad and then head back to the Argentine.

The thought of losing Aguero is impossible to imagine and the thought of actually wanting to lose one of the top players in World football is frankly ridiculous.

Thankfully we have a management structure in place which realises the value of the player and the almost impossibility of finding someone to replace him.

Come the end of the season he will once again be right at the top of the league goalscorers, still the fastest scoring goals to game ratio in Prem history and the nonsensical discussions about getting rid of him will be forgotten.

The only players who are fit to replace him play for better teams than City.

He's a legend here, and will be the main man until he decided he wants to move on.

Regardless if he was injured or not today, the amount of time he spends being injured or "being not so great while coming back from injuries" kills lot of his brilliance and value to the team so I'm not very hostile to SWP's thinking. It would be hard to find replacement though. I'd do it for Neymar or Suarez and would be very tempted with Alexis Sanchez. Can't see anyone else who is close to be as good.
