And if we set up like Swansea, maybe we would score the same number of goals that they do?

And saying "Mangala didn't come of that well" is the mother of all understatements. You can't blame the defensive formation for plain bad defending.
 
Anyone think there is any possibility of Denyer being recalled in January and MDC going back to Argentina?

If we can do that, that would be good. I don't think Demichelis is much of an option for us apart from coming on for the last 20 minutes to shore up games in a defensive midfield role. I think he is quite good at that.

Whilst Kompany is out, we need cover.

I notice Pellegrini said he hopes Kompany will return to training next week which on its own in quite encouraging, but when it's been said quite a few times it loses its value. "Vincent is improving. I hope next week he can start working with the squad". Might be a bit hopeful, but I don't think he would have said that if the prognosis was not good. I think he would have said nothing.
 
And just when we get him back he'll get injured in the first international match of the year. For me, Vinnie is the finest centre half we have had for decades. I just wish sometimes, Belgium had two who were even better.

It was plain bad defending, he got his positioning all wrong. However why is it that their centre back can play a 50 yard pass down the channel completely unopposed?
