As people have said many times (including Keown today), we have to start doing much better without him. Kompany's major focus is Belgium and being fully fit for the Euro's - bet your house on the likelihood that no matter how many games he misses for us, he will be fully fit for the summer. His willingness to play when injured for Belgium despite strong requests from City not to, speaks volumes about his true motivation and loyalty. Magnificent player the vast majority of the time and we do miss him, but he is now absent so often that he has to be treated as a 'bit part' player from now on. I'd also take the Captaincy off him and give it to Hart - VK is eloquent and intelligent, but the number one characteristic required is 100% commitment to the cause - on that basis however, he should definitely keep the captaincy of Belgium.

Agree he's won everything with us apart from champs league that's why he has Belgium his number 1 focus.

I think we're going to be disappointed that kompanys return isn't going to be the magic pill. Yes we're better with him but we have a systemic fault right now and one man isn't going to fix everything.

Kompany's days at City have to be coming to an end, I for one doubt he is 100% committed, such a shame, but it's time to move on and upwards.

Been saying it for a while. It's not really about Kompany. Sure we will be better coz the backups are horrendous at the moment, but even he wouldn't change lots of what we are going thru.

I don't know what's worse- our joke of a defense without him or the look on his face from the stands watching us lose.
He looks like he's just watched his gran get violated.

The future is not VK and hasn't been for a while.

Expect huge changes to our starting line up once our next manager comes in.
