Does anyone know his likely return date.

I think he'll play against Sunderland. His return, and the imminent return of Zabaleta, will give the team a much needed boost as they are arguably our two main leaders. Just hope they can stay fit for a while this time so we can put a decent run together.

I understand peoples issues with Kompany's injuries but do remember the current CB's have a combined cost of £70M, for that amount, Kompany should be an after thought. However he isn't and that's simply because he's the best CB in the world on his day ( my opinion of course ) and getting rid is a bit knee jerk I feel, he'll rock up at another club and be dominant whilst we probably spend another £30M on someone who doesn't compare. I for one can't wait to have Kompany back and hope his injury situation is managed better from here on out. The whole Belgium thing does come off bad but if he was deemed fit and played then I can't sit here and say he shouldnt have but if he wasn't fully fit and played then his patriotism overshadowed his foresight and hopefully he learns from his mistakes.

We have to manage kompany much better. I'd play him once a week only and take him off when we are winning games comfortably. Keep him away from cup games etc until he is over his injury problems.

Kompany should be considered a bonus now. If a big game comes along and he's fit, play him, if he's not, play our regular two centre halves. Otamendi is good enough to be one, Denayer may well be but Mangala and Demichelis are not. That means we need at least one more centre half, probably a top top quality one too.

What irks me about the Belgium situation was that the game was against a total bottom dweller and they didn't need him, and their group was already won...

Yes. Bar any other breakdowns he will definitely be back for the Leicester game, Sunderland at a push. Zabba starts full training again with the first team on Wednesday btw.

Agreed, should be no excuses. Kompany should be considered a luxury player with that amount spent to cover him.
