It's pretty obvious that he's talking about the people that are slagging him off for todays performance.
He's making out that Kompany playing like this is somehow new and the reason being that he's tired from a new baby. Not convinced he will have been kept up at all either tbh, what millionaire doesn't just hire someone for that? It's a bullshit excuse and it's avoiding the fact that he's been off the boil for a long time now

Are you seriously blaming 18 months of sub standard form on a new baby that was born less than a week ago?
Are you illiterate or do you just enjoy making things up? Where exactly do I mention anything about 18 months? The thread is called "Vincent Kompany 2015/2016" if you missed it, it's in nice big letters at the top of each page.

Very worrying that he has carried on where he left last season. How long can we keep playing him just because he is club captain? Seriously hope he gets back to being a half decent player for us.

Feeling a Torres vibe from our fans. "Give him time", "Keep the faith", "Form is temporary"... it doesn't always work out like that. He returned to pre-season early and still looked a mess today against a high pressing team showing some intensity.

Let's give Kompany one more season - that's fair. But if he doesn't regain his old levels, his political clout and armband should not save him. Football at the top level is a ruthless business and players have to keep up. There is a world class centre-back on the market right now for £35m who is desperate to leave Valencia, if this was the situation after another year of Kompany in this form, it shouldn't be a difficult choice.

Lol. For what? Doing his hearing for him.

Stop trying to play him in a high defensive line and maybe his form will magically come back.

Exactly. It is no secret his "drop in form" has come along since Pellegrini took over. We are far too open at the back and the midfield offers no protection so Kompany feels he has step up and cut out the danger which is resulting in him looking a shadow of who he was. Just hope Pep knows how to organise a defence when he arrives.

First and foremost the play was shambolic. We as Blues need to realize that we are a great club and by extension the players need to realize this. I have watch this Kompany and his is ridiculous. I tried to make excuses but there is none he needs to step up. Maybe the shock he need his to have the arm band taken away. This will send a clear message to the team. Denayer came in and this looked better he compliment Mangala. We should get Otamendi and move Kompany to defensive mid; similarly to Lalm. We would see an improvement we can’t build for the further and be thinking of Demicheles, no way. I hate change and can remember how good this team was…. But…. We want to reach another level.

People going to say I’m talking crap but this is the only way. I am tired of people slacking of City especially those cunts on Talksport, but if we as blue blooded fans can’t be critical and demand the best no one will. I would say sell Kompany but he has the heart.

My captain is Joe Heart all day long, not zaba because of his age. I don’t need to say anything about “color Ruff” at left back we all agree on him, great peg but nothing else. One the bright side we are not as bad just some tweaking and we will be ok.

There's some legitimate discussion about high lines, very few minutes playing next to Mangala, whether or not they're both front-footed, etc... but at the end of the day, Kompany in his current form, based on that appearance, is incapable of simple man-on-man defending. You can't chalk up everything to the excuses we've paraded out. He's just off at the moment. Watch the 3rd goal again. He'd struggle playing 5-a-side against quality opponents, he'd struggle with Chelsea's approach to defending, he'd struggle with Ramos next to him... he's struggling to defend players one on one right now, and the guy needs some time on the sidelines to get it right (which I'm sure he will).

Totally agree, only thing is, his competition is as bad as he has been. The only defender who has looked decent is a 34 year old on his last legs and a 20 year old rookie, that just shows you how awful we are at the back. Zaba, Kompany living off past glories at the min, Kolarov and Clichy are bang average and Mangala and Sagna, well.............
