Bony = Pony

The guy is wank, end of.

He reminds me of Benjani

If Pelle wanted him he would start games. Shocking waste of money. Someone seriously wants to look at all the money that the 2 spanish waiters have wasted

Glad your giving him sometime

Dont need to. He rubbish, obvious by the lack of touch, control. The fact that the manager does not play him says it all. He did not want him and we did not need him.

That my opinion.

It does have the smell of a DoF signing that the manager has no faith in. Seems to be giving him a few minutes here and there so he can turn round and say " look. What did I tell you. I said he wouldn't score enough goals".
Poor management of resources and poor man management as well.

id be very interested to see the wage and expenses bill for the people at the top at city, to me i think there are a lot who are riding the wave 'creaming the cream' with no real interest

If there was ever a way NOT to introduce a player into a new side we are seeing it.

You cant pay the type of money we have for a player like this and then give him 10 mins and there and have him sat on the bench.

Txiki signing with the manager just not wanting him?

Whatever it is its ridiculous.

I have to confess I haven't watched him play for Swansea, but I am assuming he played as a lone striker. To me he is overawed and star struck. He hasn't come to terms with the move and all the attention he has gained.

My concern is his work rate. He doesn't appear to be the hardest working forward and in a 442 that's not what we need. Perhaps others who have watched him play a lot for Swansea can comment on his general game and his overall work rate.

We were actually playing very well without any strikers over the Xmas period, and I would much rather our leadership team have worried about our midfield deficiencies in the January window. That was the area that needed attention, not another striker who at first appearances may not be suited to 442.

Cool, and we all know what opinions are

Like most of our team at the moment Bony looks petrified when the ball comes near him!! The whole team are lacking in confidence (IMHO) at the moment. A really good win should sort it out.

As for the fact that Bony is always brought on as a substitute, so what, he gets paid good money to play football not worry about whether he is on for 90 minutes or 50/45/40 minutes. The minute he gets on the pitch he should play and play to the best of his ability. People saying he was doing the business and scoring goals for Swansea has no bearing on the matter really. We are not Swansea, we are Manchester City and we play (usually) better and faster football than Swansea.

Personally I still don't understand why we bought him just for him to go off to the ACON. But I'm not ITK or management so have to live with their decisions as in all football related matters.

I can have an opinion but at the end of the day I'm just a City supporter, they get paid the big bucks to make the decisions no matter what we think/type/say!!

Have you watched him much - I don't mean in his shambolic introductions but before he joined us?

Swansea saw him strong on the ball, fantastic in the air and with great touch and control, especially in and around the box.

The lad is a quality player who should thrive in a side like ours and other quality players but 10 mins here and there and then back to the bench wont help him achieve his potential that's for sure.

I think it is unfair to dismiss Bony already, he has come to a new bigger club with a lot more pressure than whats hes been used to and on top of that his new team is struggling, granted he has looked poor in the few minutes he has gotten on the pitch so far but i still thinkj its to early to judge him fairly.

Glad people have given him a solid 3 games before declaring him useless. Honestly, we are not going to find out much about whether he's good enough for us while we are playing like this. He's trying too hard and is a bit all over the place, but the entire team is so it's hardly surprising. I thought he was outstanding against Leicester, showing all the movement and hold up play that we've been lacking from Dzeko, he just needed the goal to cap off his good work and settle him down. Him and Navas looked like a fantastic combination. But we then for some reason dropped him for Dzeko, who's been wank all season and over the past 4 years has shown himself to consistently be inconsistent. He doesn't look great off the bench at all.

I've seen enough of him to think he'll be an excellent option for us when we all settle down and start actually playing with a bit of confidence, but at the moment we are a nightmare of a team to be coming into. You'd struggle to pick any of our players performances over the past month, who if we'd signed in January, some people wouldn't be questioning whether they were good enough.
