What did he do well exactly?
 
Thought Bony was poor today,had a few good touches and made a few good passes in the first half, but second didn't look interested at all. His passing was abysmal and it felt as though we were reluctant to play it to him.
 
He just doesn't suit our style of play. He wants everything played to his feet and won't run for anything ! He gave away some balls today that nearly cost us goals. His passing is nowhere near at the level expected for the team he is playing at.
And how anyone can criticise KDB for his service today when he is new to the team and already provided lots of assists and goals and dug is out of the shit with a winning goal on Wednesday ! The same could be said for sterling who has a hatrick and star quality about him ! The same people making excuses for bony are the ones getting on the backs of these two players who run through walls every game and perform consistently to match winning standards. Yes they may make the odd crappy cross but they deliver elite performances more often than not !
It may not be bonys fault but you cannot sugar coat the fact that he doesn't have the qualities that we need him to have to play along side the other players in this team. To drag us over the line when we need that match winning goal ! To stand in for aguero and get us the three points. Dzeko for all the frustrating performances could do that ! Nasri, can do that, yaya can do that ! They can bring those champagne, silverware winning, point grabbing, love hate in a marmite sort of way moment that is the redeeming quality that makes them too special !

Try as anyone may like he has never had a burst of pace like Navas can or like the goal he scored against Spurs when he jumped over the corner flag or the last minute goal the dzeko got that helped us go on to win us our first league title. Even balotelli for all his flaws brough more to the team than bony does. Holding up a ball and a rare tap in every now and again surely cannot be the grand total of his contributions. I wish he was the answer to our second striker needs but when the shit is hitting the fan and we can't rely on yaya, or silva or kun or even a kolorov free kick what the can he bring ?
 
Really disappointed with him. Thought hold up play ok but never looks like scoring. We need a new back up striker IMO. Berahino?

Do you know what I'd take balotelli or dzeko over bony any day of the week.

Great post girlbob,i don't like to slag off any individual players but i will say i can't see what he brings,at least dzeko came up with important goals
I guess we will have to wait and see
