We had one, Phillipe Caciedo but he didn't fit the system either but found a good level - the level Bony belongs at ie not here

Sorry but, despite Bony not being suited to our current style in any way, Caicedo is a fraction of the player Wilfried is. Bony has already proven he can be a great striker for a mid table team who play a certain style. Caicedo has been average at best for every team he's played for. I would at least have taken him over Darius. Saying otherwise would just be silly.

Edit: I think people are reading into this as me defending Bony and I have no idea why.

I know he missed the penalty and had a bad miss, but blues need to get behind him. He's scoring goals now.

Agreed. Had a good first half & scored a great header. Of course, Kun NEVER misses - does he??? Bony needs & deserves our support

True but there's a good argument to be made that we have a younger player who has already demonstrated superior finishing.

I used to say the same thing but I think watching him shoot like a table-football player in every match has gotten to me.

We could hardly get in front of him with the size of his arse. It's like two Gareth Barry's.

Share your frustration, but he's scoring goals. It's not like he cost £58m and has about 1 goal in 2 months

He's short on confidence, therefore support him. I agree Kelechi deserves a chance.

You'll get the same bollocks that the Dzeko fans came out with ("we aren't playing to his strengths"). Well no. We aren't. Which is why he should be sold and why we should play with a nimble skilful striker instead.

Either way, playing to his strengths or not, he shouldn't be missing the sitters he is every time he plays.

dzeko and bony are similar players , big strikers who hold up the ball (Dzeko the far better player though) , so its not bollocks , stating we do not play to their strengths , we do not suit a big immobile striker , and certainly will not when/if Pep arrives. We already have a nimble striker in Nacho , he is going to be a star , and hopefully Pep if/when he arrives will give him a few games to prove himself. Tell me how many sitters did a world class striker like Aguero miss in the 1st dozen games of this season ? He couldnt hit a barn door until the Newcastle game , but we dont slag Kun , because a sign of a good striker is getting in positions to miss those sitters in the 1st place , if Bony was non existent in games and not getting any chances i would be more worried. But i agree , Bony will have to be sold , he will never suit our style of play.

I think its only fair to quote goals per minutes played. A 20 minute sub appearance hardly constitutes 1 appearance right?
I think I can only recall one match winning goal and that was Swansea I think. I don't think he's a player who can be relied on to turn a match on its head when it's all going to shit.

No amount of fluffing by you is going to turn him into a 25 goal a season striker.
