The one thing what stood out about Bony when he was at Swansea was his technique. He really was top drawer in the way he finished his chances. He was the type of player who would skilfully place the ball into the net instead of lashing it. IIRC his first goal for us was a chance where he placed the ball on the volley into the top corner when the natural thing to do would have been hammer it into the net.
It just seems like he is trying to hard to score. Maybe it's the fact he knows that Aguero is always going to be top dog is putting unneeded pressure onto him. It seems like every time he steps foot onto the pitch he feels like he needs to score a hat-trick and prove a point. If he played his natural game and played without pressure he would became the player we know he can be.
For example, if Bony would have gone off after 60 minutes, we would have been all talking about a good performance and how he led the line well and scored a very good goal. Instead he has tried to do too much and has missed a penalty and then tried to over compensate and missed another sitter.
There is definitely a good player there. Someone who can score 20+ goals a season for us. He just needs to mentally adapt to being at a club who are going to challenge for major honours.
