Player Topic: Wilfried Bony (2015/16)

Like I posted earlier. Dzeko scored 2 ( against Notts County ) in his first 750 minutes playing for the club.

Bony has played 590 minutes so far.

To be fair, those were Dzekos first minutes in PL, Bony was brought in as a proven PL striker and it was expected that he would hit the ground running.
Not sure why everyone keeps bringing Dzeko up, he left, good luck to him. As for Bony don't think that hes a bad player but it certainly was a panic buy and don't see him staying for a long time.

Rick Holden was fucking gash. Bony was one of the leading scorers in the league over a calendar year when we bought him. He's not got off to the best start but he's had niggling injuries and been thrown into games late on when the intensity has often gone out the game.
Now it's been revealed his mother has passed away after illness I'd like to think a bit of leeway is in order.

For the first time last night I realised confidence is probably a big factor right now. The way Chiellini patted him on the head after his awful shot, and the way he just stood there, hands on hips and took it, means this is officially a drought for me, and that the player knows its not going completely well for him.

There is a big decision to be made next summer, currently as it stands 2 of our 3 strikers could well be off to AFCON next season (so I've heard, I assume Nigeria will be there and Iheanacho will probably be in the squad by then). If so, we will need another striker in the squad, and its just a case of whether that will be in addition to, or in place of, Bony. I wouldn't at all be surprised if its the latter, as I can't see Pep wanting 4 strikers in the squad.

Dzeko owned Chiellini in Roma win against Juve a couple of weeks ago. Just look what he did to him when he scored.
