What is it we need then?

I like the fact that we have a physical type centre forward, it's gives us the option to play in a different way, which can only benefit us in my opinion.

He was a panic buy in January to fit a formation and system that wasnt working.

So basically we paid £28m for a player for 4 months, when it wasnt a change in striker we needed it was a change in formation and system. Something the majority of this site was saying last season.

Now with our transfer strategy apparantly in place at the start of the year and the players identified, Sterling and KDB being the main 2, why is it we as a club or at management level, were so short sighted to sign Bony when it was pretty clear from the identification of those transfer targets that the system would change?

Last season we played against Dzekos strengths and got him to do what Bony was bought for. FF 6 months and we now have the opposite, we are now playing against Bony's strengths while, and i know some will disagree, when we let a striker who would excel in this system go out on loan.

Im fucking in disbelief at some of the decisions being made.

Agree 100% When we finally switch to playing one striker with pacey wingers what perfectly suits Dzeko and where he would be fantastic backup for Aguero providing a different option up front we let him go. We kept slow moving tank who can keep the ball and do nothing else. Puzzling!
 
Can't believe people are bringing up Dzeko, yes his goal scoring record was great for us but last season he wasn't interested anymore and 99% of people on this forum wanted us to get rid of him, anyone that says they didn't is a liar.

Yes Bony was wank the other night but it was the first time he had ever played champs league football, was up against one of the best CBs he's ever been up against, and was his first 90 minutes for us. Also he wasn't helped by the fact our front 4 were all pretty gash.

I honestly feel like people on this forum slag off players because they don't know how to make any other constructive posts.

He will come good, and if worse comes to worse i'm sure theres a load of other prem clubs that would drop us some cash for him if we were to sell.
