I think most people would conclude that Dzeko's career at City was very successful and he contributed the goals that we needed and expected of a second choice striker to cover Aguero. His start at City was also disjointed. January signings rarely hit the ground running. Bony has the ACON and has been injured off and on since he joined the club. From his touch, ability to hold up the ball and ability to combine with runners from midfield you can see he has the talent to be a great striker for City. Like Aguero, he just needs a few goals to settle him down. When strikers go through baron spells they sometimes try to hard. Aguero had two guilt edge chances to score, one against West Ham, the other against Monchengladbach. Both involved him rounding the keeper. The first he lacked composure and rushed his shot. The second he tried to show that composure when he needed to take his shot quickly.
We saw on Saturday, how instinct took over after he scored the first. He was confident and knew what he wanted to do the minute he got the ball. I stand by my faith in Bony, I think he's an excellent player and with the crossing ability of De Bruyne he'll be a great option for us, he just needs our support and once he scores one he'll settle and score regularly.
