Who died and made you God...?

There is nothing 'crass' about my remarks... On the evidence available, I can only conclude that neither Yaya or Kolo showed appropriate respect for their late brother, their family, or their religion.

Yaya's subsequent actions and allegations in relation to his 'treatment' by Manchester City FC lead me to believe that he is not a decent person, and is not to be trusted. I fully expect that the club's hierarchy to have reached much the same conclusion. I suspect that he is only being played in order to maintain a transfer value.

Yaya Toure is a rotten apple - The sooner he leaves City the better.

I don't need to be God to know that that is a crass comment. You have absolutely no idea whatsoever as to their reasons for remaining in Brazil, to suggest you do makes you sound like you think you're God.

Don't try to be too clever Rolee - You're the one pontificating about working with 'facts'.

I have no idea as to the Toure's 'reasons' for remaining in Brazil and am not suggesting that I do know. What is very clear is that their reasons for doing so were obviously more important than attending their brother's funeral.

It is patently obvious that Yaya Toure's subsequent actions / comments showed very little respect for his family or his religion. That is a fact. In my opinion, he has made himself look an arrogant, greedy, self-important fool, and as such, is not worthy of respect.

He is a rotten apple.

It's not a fact and by making these judgements based on no evidence whatsoever makes you come across as the rotten apple.

For all you know his family told him to stay there and play in the WC as that's what his brother would've wanted.

The fact is we don't know the reasons and shouldn't be casting aspersions.

Toure 'cast aspersions' about a club that has looked after him very, very well - I believe that he isn't a man of honour, and (as I said) I fully expect that Mansour / Khaldoon think along similar lines.

You may well think he's a decent guy, who's been misquoted etc... If so, I suspect you're in the minority.

We'll obviously have to agree to disagree.

Re: Yaya?

I still think yaya has been promised something by city .kompany hinted toure was in negotiations over a new contract.I think this has either been signed and kept quite so city don't appear to have backed down or something has been agreed about his departure next summer.also the toure family were full of praise for city for their help arranging the funeral.

Yes he said things about the club that would get ANY blues back up !!!! But ANY body on this f*cking planet could act like a right C*#t at the death of a family member , I've lost brothers and at times you could be one act away from going in Strangeways for a very long time , and with in the hour feel sane again, you just don't know. So for me its not about that, he is one of 20 out of 25 that are having a hard time this season , no more no less.

whilst most people would feel for you and him at the loss of a sibling he didn't endear himself to the fans by "greiving" in Qatar being wooed by another club.

Wasn't he there with other members of the Ivory Coast squad attending some clinic because he was nursing an injury? But let's not let facts get in the way of pure speculation.

So It was the Ivory Coast who kept him from seeing his brother before he died, not City? Have you told Yaya yet because he said it was City...someone should let him know quick before he destroys our season.

He didn't... did he? Well that's enough for me get him out, we'll not have no jestering around here
Most people withdraw when in that situation but we are all different.maybe he went to the funeral as ronanld McDonald who knows

Neither Yaya or kolo went to the funeral...

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jun/21/yaya-kolo-toure-stay-world-cup" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... -world-cup</a>

Looks rather like they both had more important things on their minds.

I am obviously not a Yaya fan. I think he is a petulant child who should never wear the shirt again.

That said, we need to leave the "should they have returned for the funeral" issue alone. Muslim burials are usually performed within 24 hours which would have been a logistical hurdle for the Toure brothers. I expect though the real reason they stayed is that both Yaya and Kolo believed that their brother would have wanted them to stay for the last chance to progress out of the group stages of the WC. Their brother also was a footballer and an Ivorian.

There is plenty else to point to that are actual facts that show that Yaya is a despicable human being.

Re: Yaya?

Wow.....

Each to their own but nothing within my control would have stopped me attending a family funeral.

Even if say perhaps that family member had said to you if I should die while you're at the WC it is my desire that you stay and play?

I never said I believe he's a decent guy, he may be the biggest **** to ever grace the planet for all I know.

All I'm saying is that we shouldn't cast aspersions if we do not know the facts.

I can only speak for myself but i'd have politely informed them different.
