i am not sure what people watch out for when he plays... plus no one mentions that he has been playing hurt... his leg is heavily wrapped and the few times he is subbed he goes in for treatment but i bet you people think he is pouting... yet he still produces brilliant moments that the team feeds off; these are not coincidences or luck...
of the so call spine of the team he is the most present (even including the African cup absences)... he always has the most touches, passes, and up there in tackles... a football player does not have to run around the field like a headless chicken to be effective...
Lazy , with no desire and then brilliant in the next breath , a sign of an enigmatic but world class player , love him or loathe him , yaya is often the man who makes the difference ,we will not realise how good he has been for this club , until he leaves.
thank you... that sums it up for me...
I think it was Sam Roscoe (i could be wrong this was last season) on the Bluemoon podcast that first mentioned/ranted that only black african players are ever, continually labeled lazy... when the stats always show Yaya having more touches, more passes than every body else and only second in covering more ground to Fernandhino, and tackles... but is far more effective in goal scoring and assist... yes we will only appreciate him once he is retired....
