As early as 10 minutes in he lost the ball and just jogged back as Watford run at our back 4. The first game of the season he looked lean and mean ,now he looks like a heavy weight boxer whose legs have gone. All good things come to an end and Yaya is close to it -still capable of genius but should not be asked to do 90 minutes at EPL pace.

I'm tired of listening to this bullshit. Yaya can play as long as he wants. For someone who has won so much for the club, guy gets so much grief. Enough already. Fuk, guy pulled a rabbit out of nothing and all folks wanna talk about is his lumbering back after losing a ball.

Christ!!!

Enjoy him now folks cos when he's gone he is surely gone. Our most important player ever. Commeth the hour and all that stuff. Rarely if ever injured like our other hero's Kun and Dave and Vinny and Zabs. Every single week puts his heart on his sleeve on our behalf and never shirks a game.

Yeah he's not marauding through 3 or 4 players at a time any more but he is our most influential player by a mile in all he brings with him.

We used to always see the stat of how many passes players make in a game and I'd venture he's still around the 100 to 120 in any given game. Which is why I was amazed when I saw the sky sports graph during the week that Carzola leads the most completed passes chart, not so much him leading but yaya wasn't in top 5 or 6 yet Dinho was. Anyone able to come up with a place I can go to check out these figures?

I think he is valuable and very very good but Silva imo is more influential, each to their own and all that though.
He does go missing though if opposing teams are full of movement and energy, then the game goes on around him with minimal influence.

Regarding stats i would assume they are by opta so will have a website. Someone posted a decent one a while back but i lost the link.

He plays a lot better than most give him credit for too, wasn't great tonight, but wasn't as bad as some.
Fernandinho, Otamendi, Sagna, Hart, Yaya Debryune, Aguero, Mangala Kolarov Silva, Sterling. That's how I ranked performances today.

Yaya was not close to being one of the poorer players.

His stats constantly show what an absolute nonsense the Yaya haters spout. The idea he is anything other than our most important player (even now is crazy) he has dragged us back into game in recent weeks and constantly done more than any other player.

Take Leicester game when I saw people slate him, that game he did more successful passes than any player on our team bar one did attempted passes, he made 6 successful tackles which was as many as our entire back 4 and 3 X Fernandinho and made as many clearing headers in our box as anyone else, add that to the most chances created and it's pretty clear that he isn't lazy. He out Silva'd silva, he out dinho'd dinho and he out otamendi'd Otamendi. Yet still fans who clearly didn't watch the game spouted on about how he was lazy or wasn't in the game.

It can't be about football that people have a pop at him so is it people still bitter about his agents cake comment or can people just not differentiate between a languid style and a languid game.

Thank goodness we have football people running the club not emotional cake haters so we have Yaya on the pitch saving us games and helping us on to the title.

Yaya should be 5th or there about. Carzola, Shurman, Ozil, Barry and Yaya should be 1-5. But Carzola averages about 80 a game which all the others averaging in the 60s including Yaya.

The lazy player who does more than anyone and who has averaged around 50 games a season for us plus another 10 or so for CDI

Incredible player, most important in all our recent trophies , most important we've ever had and maybe the best we've ever had, without him there would be a 39 year banner up at the swamp. He got us to Wembley he scored the critical goals in both finals and in 12 and 14 his form in the run in was the difference

Think he has all the attributes to play as a deep midfielder in the mold of a xabi alonso or Pirlo but you have to change your formation to a 433. Toure looks finished in a 2 man midfield pairing.

He has been City's greatest player since the takeover. While the love first for Kompany, Silva, Kun and Zab is all well and good. Yaya has played the equivalent of almost a season more of games than Kun or Komps, about 3/4 of a season more than Dave and Pablo. And this is the guy who leaves for a month every other year to go play for his country. He is there day in day out. Plays every game, almost never injured. Scored important goals season after season. But yet the hate comes in droves.
