Eager to see how Delp fares. So far so good with him - can only get better with time!
I don't mind him, he'll do his job in the prem not sure bout cl though

Trade off?
There's literally nothing to trade off
The idle bastard wanders round the park doing sweet fuck all and we're supposed to be thankful when he scores the odd good goal?
He can get to fuck he's an utter disgrace
Exactly, I don't mind if fans get upset, footballs full of mixed emotions but there's a limit and slagging him off is way above it imo
But what if he has an eating problem? Sugar is as addictive as many addictive drugs, the body actually starts to rely on sugar to function (the body doesn't do that with cocaine or marijuana but does with sugar and heroin). He's a highly paid professional athlete, he should be monitoring his own diet and fitness. It's not as though he's a kid still learning his trade.
Delph is there for the energy he was never brought in to do a job offensively, defensively he'll do a better job but that's not exactly yayas attributes is it

What if he isn't actually intelligent enough to understand about carbohydrates and what they do to the body? or understand about exactly what heart rate zones he should be training in or how many calories he's ingesting and using burning each day?
It's not like many of these footballers are intelligent lads is it?
last thing you can call Fernandinho is lazy. Delph and Fernandinho can unquestionably provide the drive that teams like Stoke get from the likes of Glen Whelan whilst we still have plenty of quality with Silva, KDB, Sterling, Aguero etc.Bizarre post!
He's hung out to dry by the manager at times. He's overweight and underfit. But who is monitoring his diet and fitness? Then knowing these things, he's asked to play in a midfield two numerous times a month against anything from a midfield three to a midfield five. It makes him look worse than he is.
Plus when you watch our game back against Stoke (watch the 90minutes back from that game) and see that we had the exact same problems with Fernandinho and Fernando as our midfield two as we do when Yaya is in there. Both Ferns looked like lazy cunts in that game but they aren't, all it is is that they were outnumbered!
With Yaya it looks so much worse because even at his fittest between 2008-2012 he was very slow off the mark and on the turn. Now when he's older fatter and less fit, it's highlighted even more.
Why? It relates to his performances on the pitch.
That was exactly my point. He clearly isn't but we had the exact same problems at Stoke without Yaya that everyone moans at Yaya for being lazy.last thing you can call Fernandinho is lazy. It's not like we only have one player and are totally reliant on Toure.
We should be picking and choosing his games, and using him off the bench in big matches. Players should be picked on their current form, and with the whole team in mind.
Feynmann: "It doesn't matter how clever you are, and what your name is. If it disagrees with experiment you are wrong." The arguments should be over now. It's just a question of how long before Pellegrini starts to pick players who deserve to play
No but this is what I mean. How many offensive players do we need? If we start one striker, two wingers and one attacking midfielder, why do we need one of the midfield two to be so focused on pushing forward? The answer is that we don't.
He is a superb player, albeit on the decline, and I'm sick of watching him get crowbarred into the team every week.
