Can see why people are saying Aubameyang as he has been in sensational form but we have to remember this isn't just about club performances and to give Yaya his due he did captain his country to winning the African Nations this year.
I thought somebody might go in that direction, surprised it was you. He's not shit by any stretch, but to say he's been anything but below par this year and parts of last would be wrong. Made up he's won it though, hopefully help him kick on this season. Midweek was a start. Not perfect by any stretch but certainly an improvement. Can't be right, he's shit, according to Bluemoon anyway.
Sorry to disappoint, but its one of the things that drives me mad. He actually started the season in great form, looked back to his best, but that's long been forgotten, and no doubt he has recently been out of form/tired/injured/missing Silva, or all four. He got a deserved rest last week, where we missed his influence at keeping the ball, and returned to be excellent on Tuesday, so no it wasn't "a start".I thought somebody might go in that direction, surprised it was you.
How many times has he won it now? Did they just give it to him by default?
No it was voted for, its been heavily pushed on BBC World Service in Africa, so presumably it was a lot of African votes that won it for him, at least they probably appreciate his qualities. How many times has he won it now? Did they just give it to him by default?

I broadly agree with everything you've said. The cake nonesense didn't bother me because I can't take seriously what goes on off the pitch - it's all a bit of a pantomime. I've said on here before if we can manage him properly as far as game time goes we could easily get another couple of seasons out of him.Sorry to disappoint, but its one of the things that drives me mad. Many people never got over 'cakegate', and he's been shit ever since according to them, despite the fact at the time he'd just lost his brother. He's not infallible, he's caused trouble here on occasions, and says stupid things, he's also not a captain for me, but he's one of the best 3 or 4 players I've ever watched for this club, and he still has a lot to give us. Many think he'll be gone when we get Pep, I'm not so sure, I think Pep is quite capable of getting another couple of good years out of him, by using him wisely.
If he leaves us next summer he'll go with my great thanks, though reading this thread I sometimes wonder if I'll be the only one.
