It was always going to be a big test for us pre-season and early season with so many of our players involved in the WC. It’s the price you have to pay for having so many great players in your squad. Would we have it any other way?

He's started fitness training in US and I think he's joining up there. He was given extended break as he had to join up with Germany's WC training camp after the season ended, so even though he didn't play the tournament, he lost time off as a result. Sane was leggy at end of last season so wise management by the club.

Will Gundogan be back so early? Hasn`t seen Douglas Luiz on the training videoes. Muric, Tyreke Wilson, Rabbi Matondo, Ian Carlo Poveda, Benjamin Garre, Luke Bolton and Nabil Touaizi has also been involved in training. Any chance Sandler could go on the tour as well?
