Yes Cole has lost even more pace, a bit more stamina, still cannot cross, but the biggest problem is he is easily beaten 1 on 1. He was once the best full back defending against wingers, but now virtually every winger destroys him. Baines should start for us in the world cup. Strangely enough now he is past his best the media have finally started to appreciate what a great player he has been.
