Joe Hart - 8
Couple of excellent saves to keep the threat of van Persie at bay in second half - and saved the best until last to deny Vermaelen's blockbuster

Micah Richards - 7
Had a couple of difficult moments with Gervinho, and had to be a little more disciplined with his attacking than normal

Kolo Touré -7
Proved the doubters wrong with a steady display, the highlight being a beautifully timed tackle to stop Ramsey in first half

Pablo Zabaleta - 7
Another dogged display from Mr Adaptable, as he kept Walcott quiet - and would have scored a stunning second goal but for the post

Samir Nasri - 7
Added some neat touches in and around the Arsenal box and linked well with Aguero and Zabaleta, but still not quite at top of his form

David Silva - 7
Scored the winner and crafted several more chances, but he has set very high standards for himself and his passing wasn't always bang on

*Gareth Barry - 9*
His performance had everything except a goal. Worked prodigiously hard, won every tackle, and used the ball superbly

Vincent Kompany - 8
You knew he would lead from the front, and his concentration barely wavered as he put in block after tackle after block

Yaya Touré - 7
Not the towering presence he so often is, but kept things moving in midfield and allowed others to carve out the win

Mario Balotelli - 8
How many times has he come up with some magic in tight match situations. His run and shot created the goal, and he might have had more

Sergio Aguero - 7
Might have had a couple of goals in first half, but continued to menace the defence and played a part in the goal

Substitutes
Nigel de Jong (for Y. Toure, 85) - 6
another body in the battle

James Milner (for Balotelli 72) - 6
dug in to preserve lead

Edin Dzeko (for Nasri 85) - 6
provided relief for defence

Can't complain really pretty much spot on ratings...

Hart - Some fantastic saves - 8
Richards - Dominant in the air - 7
Kompany - Back to his best - 9
Kolo - Proved I needn't have been worried when I saw his name on the team sheet - 8
Zabba - Absolutely immense, although it helped that Arsenal didn't play a right winger - 9
Barry - Awesome again, so important for us - 9
Yaya - Not his best game but our linchpin - 7
Nasri - The best game I've seen him play (I wasn't at Spurs and don't think you get a fair reflection on tv) - 8
Silva - Gave the ball away too much but still showed moments of class - 6
Aguero - Missed chances but was still involved - 6
Balotelli - Great work for the goal but pretty quiet otherwise - 6

Gareth Barry was exceptional today, he won everything, and his passing was neat and accurate too, great game.

GB18 was my MotM too, though I thought Zaba pushed him very close.
