I wish Beardsley had signed for us.... played 3 or 4 games on loan, one of which he was inspiring as we beat Huddersfield 3-0 away. Had we kept him on loan until the end of the season I very much doubt we would have been relegated against Stoke last game of the season.....but then again we wouldnt have had the season in the 3rd division and the Gillingham play off final....
