With the news regarding the departures of Zaba, Clichy, Navas, Sagna, and Cabellero - I am excited about the remaining prospects of what is already shaping up to be a busy summer.
These guys have been good servants at the club - thank you for everything. It is time to freshen things up though, and with these departures there are places in the team for new fresh faces to come on board and take us to the next level. I am just excited about seeing a fresh side for next year - heavens knows we needed it.
Our attack has been nicely freshened up with the young exciting trio of Sane, Jesus and Sterling. Now it is time for phase 2 if you will, and freshen up other areas of the team, so hopefully next year we will start to see the full picture.
One thing I will say is though - that Pep, Txiki and co absolutely must get this transfer window right. The right players really have to be recruited, as there will be no hiding place next season if we blow millions on a bunch of eejits as part of a rebuild of half the team. We need the right fulls backs to complement the style of play Pep wants and slot into the team for years etc.

I think he was decent enough as long as he was playing next to Kompany. I think more or less the same of Otamendi. Whether Mangala comes back in to the squad or not (doubt he will personally) this summer we need to bring in a centre back who can get a grip of that defence in his own right whether Vinnie is playing or not and can organise and improve those around him. It is every bit as crucial as getting in the full backs IMO. We cannot go into another season being an injury to Kompany away from being a shambles at the back.Would any of you wish Mangala to remain and play (in a Pep way)...? Maybe Pep can turn Mangala into the CH we need !.
He came on as a sub. in the Euro Finals for France - 2016.

Cannot see Mangala returning. Its a fundamental of any Central defender (actually any player) in Pep's teams to be good on the ball and unless he's gone through some incredible metamorphis then he just doesn't have those skills, or at least has never demonstrated them. We have Kompany, Stones, Otamendi and Kolarov as cover and we wait to see if Toisin will be kept on or loaned out. Should be enough.
