He needed this season in the PL. He needed to play each week to improve his quality and confidence.

Sitting on the bench for us wouldn't have done him any favours at this point in his career.

He may have scored, but he sat on the Ipswich bench most of Saturday.

If you watched him in the academy teams against players his own age then you'd see what a hothead he was

I know but he’s played and started most games for Ipswich this season. If he was at city he’d have a couple of sub appearances at most.

This thread is comedy Gold.....Kulusevski, who has a handful of 'decent' games a season, is and never will be anywhere close to Bernie!

I'd say southamptonblue isnt condescending as such. But, if he thinks what someone is saying is a crock, he'll give it them. ;)

Bernie was way better at Monaco than Kulusevski is now, and no one is going to improve him enough to be as good as Bernie is now...so he's not an ideal replacement in any way shape or form.

I know the Portuguese league doesn’t always translate to PL, but Pedro Goncalves at Sporting has been incredibly consistent for the past 5 years.

Scored more goals from centre mid than Ratface did, and that’s without a single penalty. He often plays LW, RW or attacking mid so he gives us versatility just like Bernie. Plus I’m sure Hugo Viana loves him and it’d piss off Amorim and the rags.
