Ndidi would have been the perfect Fernandinho replacement. Does the work of 2 men, tall, quick and I’m sure he has the most tackles in the league over the past 4 years. Would allow 2 attacking mids like we had in 17-19. Only just turned 24 so we could have 10 years of him.

You don't purchase a player who plays in one distinct position expecting them to be able to play top level at another position. It's like replacing a tire on a car with a completely different sized one and expecting your car to perform better.Maybe he can play as Holding Midfielder?
