Players who might improve us

When are people going to accept Felix is not and never will be the player he looked like being as a teenager?
A myth. Pure hype. The new Isco/Adu. A FIFA 2019 phenomenon, a real world flop
Atleti paid four or five times what his performances were actually worth
Give it up lads.
Each to their own.

Each to their own.

Loads on here have been banging the Felix drum for many years
Just don’t see it myself
The fact he has flopped at one of fhe best three teams in Spain makes him, imo of course, more of an arsenal or klopp gamble than someone we would seriously consider.
Maybe an Odegaard or Coutinho but also maybe a Pepe or Keita

It’s the which ‘players who might improve us’ thread, and I still think he has that exceptional ability to play on the turn between the lines and to pick the killer pass. Haven’t see anyone remotely as good in that position since Silva left. He’s at the wrong team with the wrong manager but I still think he’d improve us. Guess we’ll just have to beg to differ.

Of course, respectful of different opinions. Unless you are a ‘Football Twitter’ Ederson/Foden hater…
Felix’s next move will be interesting, can’t see him renewing there. If he were to become a free agent it would be interesting to see where he went.
Bayern for example always like a punt on a young talent who perhaps hasn’t fulfilled their potential

Overtime as the players get older, I think the best strategy is to look at the aging players.

KDB and Gundogan both play centrally, while we have Mahrez on the RW.

I think the best strategy here considering how we kind of play 442-ish very recently, is to go for another central attacking player (not quite a striker though), and then simply promote Borges and Mebude in as wingers to further free up Foden for more central time as well.

The great thing about having these two young wingers, is it means we just need one signing overtime to have great depth.

Two Great Options Imo (Both Bundesliga, because we don't miss when we sign from that league):

1. If we want more of a second striker, Chirstopher Nkunku is the best option. Could play with Haaland or Alvarez comfortably, and ideally plays off another player.

2. If we want more #10 like KdB to pair with the striker, we could try to shift Foden there more, but I think he still needs to be played on the wings if Mahrez leaves. I think Florian Wirtz is going to be star for Germany as a playmaker.

I don’t see any point in signing a new winger. Palmer can fully replace Mahrez next season and one of Borges or Mebude can become a fringe player. Doing this shows the academy lads there’s a clear path into the first team.
