Players who might improve us

Tottenham have had a really solid defence for the past 3 years, and he's slotted in no problem and played 30 league games, which is impressive for a 22 year old. He came from Ajax so he'll know how to play from the back, and Guardiola will improve and encourage it. I love the fact that he's absolutely rapid for such a tall, strong CB. Could be very useful for when we push up the pitch and teams break on the counter.

Again though, Levy got there first. Guess we'll just have to enjoy him when he inevitably goes Madrid.
We had the better defence last year and Stones and Laporte are kids still. Don't need him and wouldn't want him at the price the spuds paid. His partners at Ajax, Spurs and Colombia are the better defenders.

He's better than De Ligt & Mina. You're right, the money would be astronomical, but I think he'll be really special in a few years. Laporte and Stones will be our future CBs for ages, but we're going to need to replace Kompany & Otamendi in a few years. Him or Lucas Hernandez would be my picks.

He's definitely not better than Mina and Ajax rate De Ligt a lot higher. We can look after replacing Vinny and Otamendi when we actually need to do it, both will be at City next season.

If the lad was as good as you think he wouldn't sign for City to sit on the bench behind Stones and Laporte.

Christian Pulisic at Dortmund. 19, born and raised in Pennsylvania. Been playing for Dortmund for two years and highly rated there, going to be the star of the U.S. team for years to come.

Nzonzi.I really think we should he targeting him. Good short term replacement. One of the top 5 DMs in the world, largely experienced and wont be difficult to sign.

That's actually a good shout with how the Jorginho saga has unfolded. I wasn't super keen on him due to age but if we could get him for a decent price I wouldn't mind. I would guess we'll look younger though.

Nzonzi is too old, we already have 33 year old fernandinho. The incoming DM has to be 22-26 years old in my opinion. So immediately after we replace Fernandinho we don't have to buy another DM again shortly after. Fernandinho''s contract expires in 2020, nzonzi would be 31 then.

Nzonzi can cover the place until one of our academy players makes it ( A Garcia, Douglas Luiz or any other academy player), we should produce 1 and make him ready after 2-3 years from now.

Like the idea, but Dinho has to be replaced in a couple years as well
