Except Eriksen would want more game time than Gundogan has had even with KDB missing all season, next year I see the majority of games in the forward midfield to go to Bernardo and KDB with Foden and David supporting so even if Gundogan goes don’t think we have space for Eriksen when he can go to other teams and be a starter.Gundogan, would be a major improvement, Eriksen also only has a year left on his current deal.

It's all well and good wanting players, but there's zero point in signing a player that's not as good as what we've got, in a position that we already have options in.
Son is a great player when in form, but does he improve our first team? No. Does he improve our squad? Maybe, but he'd need to prove it, far more difficult to have an impact as a squad/rotation player.
Does he improve our squad as much as a top class holding midfielder or left back? No chance.

Mahrez is in double figures for goals (11) and assists (11), despite being a bit part player. Son has 18 goals and 10 assists as a key player for spurs, most of those goals coming when Kane has been out and he's been the focal point of their attack.
There's zero guarantee that Son could be more effective than Mahrez, in the role of 5th choice forward.

Son plays as an inside forward. He couldn't do what Sané does for us out on the lines of the field, or what Bernardo does carving infield and dropping deep or Jesus and Aguero do leading the line. He'd do exactly what Sterling does, less effectively, hence the money would be better spent on a holding mid or left back. Mahrez has done well, but we didn't really need him so people are underwhelmed. Son would be no better. If we were going to sign another forward (which I wouldn't) we'd be better off getting someone who could play out and out wide on the right hand side as Sané does on the left, to balance the team when Sterling or Jesus plays on the left.We bought mahrez for a spot that didn't need strengthening. Rw is probably our strongest area with Raz and Bernardo yet we still went and signed a player who plays exclusively on the right.
