Our team lacks directness by design. There's nothing in those highlights that Grealish or Foden couldn't do, if that was how we played football. But we don't.

This lad has fewer than 40 games and 2 professional goals to his name, playing in Ukraine, and is just 6 months younger than Foden

And we aren’t in a position to develop a player like that. He’d sign here and compete with Palmer for scant minutes and cup appearances while stagnating as a professional. The standard of our league is too high now and there are too few points available to drop for us to be taking chances on people, even our own youth. We will be monitoring players like this and of course paying more for them when they prove they can play at our standard, unfortunately

Agreed, but I'd say we need a top class left back more than a right back.
