Players who might improve us

He was well known before he joined Spurs, but City passed the opportunity

If we continue to play such a high line how could he alone miraculously make our defence solid and impervious to counter attack?

Our worst mistake
 
I'd break the bank for van de ven. In Peps hands he's potentially walker 2.0. Would be near impossible to get from Spurs though. Ships sailed.

One player that may potentially be available from Spurs though is Bissouma. Seems to be down the pecking order at the minute, if he were to be available in Jan, he could be a decent DM option for us. Knows the league, athletic and can quicken our otherwise slow midfield and you'd like to think would be more susceptible to picking up Peps tactics quickly given he's played at Brighton and Spurs who both try and copy us.

Because he is probably the fastest Epl player and defender. His pace will save us and he is a very intelligent defender, always in good positions, knows how to break up play. He brings physical presence and assurity to our forever shaky defense. He is just playing under a manager(Postecoglou) who does not really utilise him to his strengths. Also because Walker has fallen off. Because our Defenders are injury prone and some are aging and many more things I can go on and on about!

Yeah. The talent is there, but he's very lazy off the ball.

Definitely why he hasn't been able to maintain consistency.

Midfielder turned centreback

Has a poor start to the season as everyone in Girona, probably all the transfers need to gel
 
Mitoma combines Grealish and Doku's best attributes.

Can beat players 1v1 and is very positive like Doku, but also has the creativity and ball retention Grealish has. Has a much better end product than both of our left wingers.

He would be an upgrade on what we currently have.
 
Thinking about Rodri's replacement

I think any new signing will take a long time to settle and adapt to Pep's system specially for DM/ CM

Therefore lets stick with what we have and wish for the best instead of wasting another 50m for average players
