Players who might improve us

In the CL final he was awful (but so we're the entire team).

Genuinely thought he was 37 year old Francesco Acerbi on more than a few occasions the way he was left chasing shadows by PSG.

The times I've seen him before that he's been class. Might be the type of defender who does best when play is in front of him, rather then chasing towards his own goal. Which makes him very unsuitable for us.
 
I'd have had Alex Baena. Shame he has gone to Atletico. Everytime I've watched him he's massively impressed me. His chance creation is ridiculous, and a player who can go up to the next level at Atletico.

If as reported on other threads that Baena is a bit of a ****, he has gone to the right club with a manager who will really appreciate him.

Maybe why others were in no rush to sign him ?

They all said that about Cherki. I take what reports say with a pinch of salt these days.
 
Another player. Thiago Santos - although he had a bad injury last season which kept him out for most of the season. If we can't get Livramento, Santos along with Vanderson are viable options given the fact we can move on a non HG player to accommodate them.

Just feel like there's a lack of good quality full backs in the market.
 
Chelsea wants to get Jackson off their books. Erratic finisher but if we had the room I'd happily take him as a back-up to Erl. I quite rate him as a footballer and I think Pep would transform him to a very reliable system player woth the attributes he have.
Don't think Marmoush will ever really play in the middle. But there is no room for a foreign back-up striker

They want him off the books and he seems to be good then bad yet they want silly money

Haha it is funny how social media shapes people narratives of players. Nicolas Jackson is a very talented footballer with a relatively high ceiling. His partnership with Palmer is the reason they have been semi-competetive. He isn't the finished product reliable goalscorer Chelsea wants and considering their transfer strategy that means they have to move him on at some point. As a back-up striker for a another top-club he is perfect on paper. Anyway, there is no room for him, just wanted to throw his name out there because I rate him and most others don't
