Players who might improve us

Nico Paz really does look like a sensational talent. Spurs even made a late move for him at the end of the window, but you get the sense Madrid see him as a long-term project and will integrate him into their first team in the next few seasons. It’s no surprise big clubs are circling already - he has that mix of technical elegance and game intelligence you rarely see at his age. Almost like Cole Palmer.

Onto Leroy Sane, he was brilliant. For a period, he looked like a genuine world beater in the making under Pep. He had that blistering pace, devastating one-on-one ability, and that left foot could just cut defences apart. He was a joy to watch and could decide a game when he wanted. There was a stretch under Pep where it felt inevitable he’d grow into one of the very best wide forwards in Europe. His ceiling looked enormous, and he had that fearless edge that made him unplayable at times. I always felt when Bayern came calling, he lost that hunger that Pep had drilled into him. I always remember going to the Arsenal away game in the snow, 3-4 days after the carabao cup final. Sane was absolutely unbelievable that day, as were the whole team. I was watching Football from another planet that night. Still to this day, I haven't watched another club play that level of football in this country. Liquid Football.

Players who improve us?

I think we've got to start talking about Elliot Anderson to be honest. The man is a machine. Pressing, energy, box to box, ball progression.

When he doesn't play for Forest you see the drop off in quality and energy. Same as when he got taken off for England U21's.

At the moment Gibbs White is probably ahead, but Anderson is far more complete. I'd love us to sign Wharton and Anderson.

I think he will be a better player than Declan Rice.

Nonsense. It’s fair to say he didn’t fulfil his potential but he was a technically more gifted player than sterling.
Talent is only half the game, the rest is application, Sterling got more goals and was far more consistent, he made intelligent runs into the box.

Fine, Sane had more technical ability but he was absolutely not a better player.

Totally agree with this. A year ago I just thought Anderson was a workhorse and nothing more, but he's got quality as well as effort. Could do a top job for us, as could Wharton.

I quite don’t understand why Newcastle sold him

Just watched the Como game from the other day, buy that Nico Paz whatever the fucking cost. Just go and get him. He'll be one of the best in the world in the next 2 years. Insane player.

From Bundesliga highlights the new St Pauli winger Houtondji had a great game, will keep an eye on him. On loan from Burnley apparently lol they have made some fuck up there on that evidence.
Real will not sell Paz. This is second loan to
Como

Decisiveness in the final third is a lot easier when you're playing with speed in 3 v 3 or ,4 v4 unlike how we play. I just don't see how Bowen would be any better at picking apart packed boxes than our current wingers are
He won't
