I'm just wondering what current players or recently retired you think would make good managers. They could be City, other English, or Foreign.

Personally from City I think Milner has the right mentality to be a manager.

Foreign based, I think I'd actually really like to play for someone like Gennaro Gattuso. I don't know what it is about the guy but I think he'd be a fantastic manager.

Of the recently retired, think Maldini is the obvious choice.

I think of our current squad Vierra is the stand out contender for future management - intelligent, articulate and has done everything in the game (that doesn't mean he'll be a success but it's a decent start).

Worldwide: I'd put my house on Carlos Puyol becoming Barca manager within the next 20 years.

I think Gattuso would batter you with a horses head if you put one foot wrong!

I think Scholes would make a good manager, a silent, tactical sort of manager.

As for our team, I reckon NDJ, basically because as he's stood in the dug-out, suit and mac on, opposition managers and players would just shit themselves and let us win! Imagine him stood there, all 5ft 5 of him?!!!

Wouldn't like to go into the changing room at HT as one Gattuso's players losing 2-0. He'd make Ferguson's hairdryer feel like a waft of warm Saharan air. Never was a footballer made more in the image of a pit bull terrier. Would have loved him at City.

I think Bellers would be an interesting manager, motivating by bouncing up and down, playing the game from the touchline & never short of things to say, quite articulate in a strange way.

Abroad I reckon Maldini will be the future Milan manager, he's always been a model professional and has the intelligence & charisma to go with it, a true gent.

Gareth Barry. As has already been said, he's the ultimate professional and appears to know every trick in the book.

Mind you, I tipped Gareth Southgate about 10 years ago to be a good manager. Look how that one turned out!!
