*First and foremost whether you like it or not HUGHES will be here next season LETS ALL UNITE and get behind him.
*Premier League is the world's toughest league. Finishing 10th whilst in transition is not a bad thing
*Any boss in the world would have found in hard this season with City's new found wealth and expectation with the current crop of players. Whilst in transition you have to be patient. Look at Ferguson, Moyes and O'neill as good examples. All 3 managers struggled early days but by giving them time they have come good.
*Certainly for me it has been the best Football i have seen at home since supporting city and our record proves that.
*Getting to the quarters of the UEFA was one hell of an adventure, i have waited years to go on a proper european adventure and im so glad to have had a taste of it.
*Richest club in the world SAY NO MORE.
*Season ticket sales on the increase.
*Hughes signings have been very good up to date. With a full summer of looking in the transfer market we could find ourselves with at least 4 or 5 quality signings to bolster already a half decent squad.
*Next year Hughes work will come to fruition, im so confident of that. If we can continue our home record, im sure our away form will improve dramatically. A top 6 place is a very realistic target along with a decent cup run.
*Look at Leeds, Newcastle etc.... We have been there and we was in better spirits then THAN we are now. Some of us fans need to take a good look at where we are compared to our dark days. We have everything in place, it just needs a little patience.
WE HAVE LOST OUR CREDIBILITY OVER THE LAST FEW SEASONS. LETS BRING BACK THE HUMOUR AND ENJOY EVERY GAME WIN, LOSE OR DRAW AND GET OFF SPARKIES BACK AND GIVE HIM A CLEAN SLATE
I for one cant wait for next season, i genuinly think we will have a season to remember next year. Lets get behind the team and manager and remember where we were only 10 years back. CTID

We have seen some amazing football at home and with some real quality signings we can look forward to a better season.
Top 4 though? no chance. 5th or 6th do-able.
Darco said:i agree, be patient. Hughes is a winner, he has much more winning mentality than pussy wenger and benitez who don't put the shitters up their players like fergurscum does-and that's why they haven't taken the league off them again this season. Hughes is in the same mould as slur alex, he's the man. look at all his signings compared to 'couldn't careless Sven' Fact-all hughes' signings have been our best players.
I don't want to start all over again with some foreign coach who is inexperienced in the premier league.
Oh, and the reason we didn't finish 6th or 7th this season isn't coz of hughes, it's because of 2 men- Dunne & Richards, mainly Dunne. He needs to go, great servant, but he no longer matches the ambitions of our club. He made far too many crucial mistakes this season

In which sense is Hughes a winner, he is a mediocre manager!

I got this far before deciding
*you have only ever been to about 2 city games if that
*you saw none of the first half of last season
That's not very nice mammutly. I go to all homes and many aways and I saw the first half of last season. And I agree with the OP that this season was better. Newcastle and Bolton at home were about the best games we played at home last season and we only won that first away game at West Ham. Plus we got thumped at Chelsea. The one thing we did better last season was to scrape wins when we didn't play so well but, at home at least, the quality has been far higher overall this season.
I disagree. The football under Sven in the first half of last season was better. We have been average to woeful at home this season with perhaps 3 exceptions. We have too often been left clinging on to results through a mixture of luck and desperation in games that we should have wrapped up.
I do agree that I was not very nice to the OP, but stand by what I said. It particularly irritates me that the post contained not one iota of a novel thought, yet for some reason he considered a new thread was necessary to say it.
