Italian league is pretty poor overall. Ok Inter Won the champions league but they got a better player plus £60 million which they rebuilt the side with the best manager in the world.
Hes gone to spain to a tougher league and well hes seen as a flop as he got half the goals of the player he replaced and cost 3 times as much.
I get bored of saying it but the prem is a step up again.
Hes mard, already said he couldnt cope with the weather or the culture over here. His words not mine !
Would be badly of of his depth in our league and wont get as many goals as Ade.
So a completely pointless signing IMO as the players we already have are better and proven in this league. Mark my words if we sign him he will be a bigger flop that Robinho over here. Will hate the weather, city, country and culture and wont be able to adapt to the physical nature of the game and having no time on the ball.
You ask most city fans they dont want him, they would rather keep Ade and tevez and add another big strong forward from Germany or a dutch or french player that doesnt mind being kicked and doesnt refuse to play when it gets cold and starts raining.
I have yet to speak to a city fan that actually thinks he would be a good signing not large talk on intenet forums where people think we will actually sign the likes of Kaka etc....
All I have to say is Robinho. People have very short memories.
He was the best player in Seria A when that league was far better than the prem (2005)....
And, couldnt cope with the weather ? he is from Sweden and have you ever been to Milan in the winter ? believe me the weather there is much more harsh then the British winter.
I dont agree that the italian league was far better than english league in 2005, i think the italian league hasnt been as good as the english league for a long time...plus you got to rember its a differnt ball game...the english league is fast and physical...the italian league is slow, and you have a lot of time on the ball, and the ref blows a foul for anything...

-- Sun Jun 06, 2010 5:40 pm --

I dont think thats City fans are being arrogant when they say they dont want ibra...i think it comes down to four things which make us apprhensive about how well he can do
1. He was considered a flop for barca, who are a far better team than us
2. His style of laid back play reminds us of players we dont like too much or annoy us like berbatov, robinho, ade, sant cruz.....city fans have always loved a grafter...like dicov, tiato, goater, tevez, de jong, bellamy ect..
3. He would cost a lot of money
4. because we have been linked with so many good players across the globe, we now belive that we could get a differnt player at a simlar price, so people will naturaly have different ideas and tastes about who they would like...i really dont think people mean it when they say he is shit, becuase we know he isnt, some people just think we could get better
But their is no doubt if he signs people will be very happy, but some may still be apprhensive and cautious because of the way the robinho thing panned out
