Please don't get Ibra

The whole "IBRA IS LAZY/ADE IS LAZY" is probably one of the most ridiculous overused cliches in world football to be honest. Whenever I hear it now I actually roll my eyes/

Anyone who would turn their nose up at Ibrahimovic is having a laugh or deluded. However, I can understand why people would want Dzeko instead, that is, they wouldn't say no to Ibrahimovic but would rather have Dzeko.

Ibrahimovic is a 'superstar', and with that, as we saw with Robinho, comes massive expectation, will he be able to live up to this? I'd say he's had an ok season with Barca, 21 goals and 10 assists sounds great but in that team it's not fantastic, just ok. Also, he's not getting any younger and a lot of fans, myself included, may want to see us targeting younger players who are hungry for success and can stay with us for years to come and form a squad that stays together for years to come. Finally, he's won the league title in the last seven seasons, with Juve, Inter and Barca, and it's unlikely that we'll win the title next season, he's used to winning, he might not take well to not being at the top of the league and could lose interest half way through the season.

Of course these are just the negative aspects of signing Ibrahimovic, the positives are that he clearly is a supreme talent with the capabilities, that is physicality, to cut it in the Premier League. Combine this with the fact he works well with Mancini and we could have a world class, if a little inconsistent, striker on our hands next season.

I'd love to see Ibrahimovic at City, but I'd love to see Dzeko too.

He was born in sweden but his parents were bosnian/croation.., he chose to play for sweden, but he is still (partially anyway) bosnian.

Your the idiot. Everyone knows he is of Bosnian descent, but calling him Bosnian is like calling SWP Jamaican. SWP is English you fool.

(shakes head in disbelief)

What has happened to City fans? They're absolutely spoilt and people are wanting Higauin and Dzeko instead of this fella? Absolute jokers! I'm sorry but I laugh in the face of that opinion because this guy is on another level to them two.

You don't go to Inter Milan, you don't move to Barcelona without being an absolutely amazing player and scoring a barrel full of goals. You can fault his playing style but you cannot fault his goals to games ratio in whatever league he has been in. You can doubt how he'd accomodate to the premiership but I'm going to absolutely love it when he proves them all wrong if he joins. The criticism he has recieved on here is a disgrace.

from what i;ve read, apart from the OP, most of the supposed criticisms are actually statements of erring on the side of caution, and not criticisms.

the majority of skeptics are not discounting his talents or his goals to games ratio etc. most people know he is a great striker and perhaps is indeed one of the best in the world.

the issue people have is will he re enact these traits once he comes to city or will he just take his foot off the pedal after scoring a few goals thinking he has done his part, and just goes missing. that is the main fear of the skeptics. with 40mill we can get more failsafe players who we know has a lot to prove.

a striker recently coming from champion teams and literally winning most accolades bar a few, would need another reason to succeed in our league.

i won't mind ibra in city. he would be a marquee name, and bring extra class to the tactics. but if he does, i dont want him to waste us, the fans, time.

when the rags signed berbaflop, they were frothing from the mouths because floppy was really a tremendous player in spurs and imo, would easily have been considered then as within europe's top 20 best strikers. look at how the rags want him to be gone, and tbh i can see why they would. one is because they are twunts, another is because their frustration is justified.

when we buy players, we not only want quality, we also want guarantee.
