Please please please copy the Poznan fans!

Could we not swap the away fans with 110 111 to crat the south stand all city fans? i think this could work with the coach park and such like. would just mean the south stand would have to leave the way teh south stand go now and the corden would have to move down a bit.

Now then my fellow mod, let me assure you the majority who want to sing are in 110/111 and to a certain extent 109 plus the guys in south stand.

Firstly, the guys who have wanted to sing and join in the banter have gradually moved to 109/110/111 granted they may not have been there originally but are now, if not don't you think we would have mass outcry about fans in these areas standing in front of them.

One of the big problems with COMs is where the away fans are situated and the logistics of the operation, i,e car parking facilities etc.

Now many have said why not put away fans in the top corners of the third tier in east or CB stand, I can assure you putting all City fans together and away fans miles apart would produce a sh*t atmosphere. (Newcastle prime example of this!)

Unfortunately due to seating regulations and the such it is going to be difficult to increase the singing section - sorry to point this out but The Swamp have 76K most games but wouldn't exactly call that intimidating would you! they put away support next to fans who use wheelchairs and family stand, not exactly MIB's are they ;)

I know that, slowly there are more getting together but its still not many really, and its taken 7 years, I also understand the logistics of why its why it is, and its why I don't see it ever changing. In any case I think that the atmosphere is good when it needs to be, it wasn't great the other night (though it was better than I expected) because there weren't enough City there in the first place, and secondly they were always going to out sing us, even when we were singing. For most bigger games the atmosphere is good, and my main point is that this nostalgic memory of Maine Road is just that nostalgic, and it only ever remembers the good days, and never the bad days of which there were many.

You are entitled to your opinion, but in my opinion, your talking bollocks.

There are problems, but we can overcome them. We cant repeat the standing phenomenen of adhoc organisation, because the static seating stop's like minded individuals gravitating together. That's why we need to mimic the microphone choreographed aproach etc of poznan, imo. A few who are organised, can act as a catalyste. People want an atmosphere.

BTW, against juve, i sat in 203 for a change. every time yhe south stand sang, the north stand joined in. 203, except for three of us, was a morgue.

This is the problem we have. As much as 110/111 is the singing section, there are dickheads in there that dont sing and are just there cos the atmosphere is good.

As Radoslaw showed in his links there is a section for true supporters, or what we might call the singers, in their stadium. Look how it works.

Nice one fella.
Have to say the most impressive away support I've ever seen.
I must admit it was a bit fierce at first where I am in 111 (was there with the missus) but got used to the madness and ended up having a giggle with you lot...loved the back-turning bit,and the sit down/jump up...would love us to do it against Arsenal, they'd wonder what the fek was going on!

One thing-why do all your lads look like cage fighters-scary as fuck?
Ha ha!

Pardon me but what's bollox about what I said ?

I know where the singing is, and where it isn't, and its not in the south stand these days, people are slowly getting together in 109/110, but its taken 7 years to achieve, mostly because City didn't seek advice from the supporters when we first moved, if they had we could have got the louder sections together right at the outset.

An unreserved block of seating with for example 3000 season ticket holders who 'sit' where they want in that block would improve things imho, all it needs is City to create the area, and a few rules. Anyone who didn't then want to 'sit' there would move to an area with normal allocated seating. I'd suggest that 109/110, and 212/213 would work best, and maybe a block on the other side of the away fans in the south stand.

In the old kippax if you wanted to stand in the singing area, you got there early, you knew where it was. It wasn't as loud as it gets portayed on here though, and this myth is brought out every time the subject of atmosphere comes up. It was often quite good, but equally it wasn't always, and people just remember the good.
