Please tell the truth about Manchester

It depends what people call Manchester, The City its self is not that big, although the City Council has expanded way beyond it's boundaries.

The place has improved a hell of a lot of the last 30 years, it is now a vibrant cosmopolitan, lively and quite prosperous in comparison to many other Cities, I would move back if I had the chance

I have a mental picture of this one too, I hope to god that he's in his mid teens at the moment otherwise there is little hope for him.

A social misfit, dressed in black entering a shopping mall with a locked and loaded AR15 fully automatic ......

The centre itself is bloody tiny relatively. Therefore a lot of 'city negatives' are condensed into one heaving cesspit called Piccadilly Gardens. The public transport is about 5yrs ahead of India's.

Rents are expensive and going up, even though there are many empty buildings because they built too many of the bloody things.

Pissheads and hobos abound, although that could be most places.

Yes, there are loads of restaurants, but who can realistically afford to eat at them regularly?

Market Street is like an obstacle course of god botherers, charity clowns, extremely well dressed homeless, student socialists, and families so fat, they waddle too slowly to allow you to avoid the above.

Awareness events which only serve to further endorse stereotypes about the very causes they stand for.

Rag tourists.

Primark.

Good points: City.
