Everyone slated MJ but he was right about humans destroying the planet,so many animals have gone exinct with loads more on the edge,we only have ourselves to blame
Ah yes, MJ. I loved it when he sang I'm forever blowing Bubbles

Scotland?I don’t believe this.
There are still vast tracts of planet earth not touched by us because the terrain is unsuitable, inhospitable or lacks resources we want.
The insect life there isn't threatened.
Nope. Insects aren't all boring and English.Mods, consolidate with the Cricket thread.

No. Less numbers of insect species leaves the entire insect population more exposed to weather and disease (less diversity) and insect numbers dropping too low means the majority of plant life dies and so do we.It’s all so complicated though. For everything that declines something else wins. Less birds eating bugs of one type might mean more bugs eaten by rats so more rats and less birds. Less flowers may mean more grass. Who knows. There’s been a semblance of balance in each ecosystem for a while and many will tip towards a different balance but maybe that’s a disaster for humans of maybe not.
Maybe it doesn’t matter if technology moves to manage nature and weather and life and anything that we assumed was uncontrollable in the past.
We may be on the verge of a golden age? All most of us can do is prepare our kids as best we can for the future (woman about the end of the world is probably a waste of time).
I dare say the Trafford cockroach population has waned somewhat over the last few years, this species however does fuck all for the eco system and will hopefully die out in the not to distant future...
