Plymouth Argyle (H) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

People saying "Plymouth offered stubborn resistance" like they're 10th in the PL or something, lol. They're in the bottom three of the Championship ffs.

Hoped Pep would send a message today. Hoped he'd give Haaland and Marmoush the chance to work on their partnership and blow Plymouth away. There was no reason to make that many changes and we only won the game when we put Haaland on and took the game seriously.

Instead a bad XI created a flat atmosphere that resulted in a flat game. And now any team we play in the QFs will know they can get at us, especially if Pep opts for one of his "creative" selections. The time for Gundogan, Bernardo, and De Bruyne starting together was over weeks ago regardless of the opposition.

God help us if we get drawn away to literally any team left in this cup.
Plymouth were dead and buried until their new manager arrived. Their form is much better now. They will escape and do ok next year.

The game panned out as expected, defence v attack. It was inevitable they'd score from their first bloody chance. We totally dominated the game and with a bit more luck could have scored a few more. How O'Reilly couldn't get a game during.our injury crises I have no idea, he looks a great prospect.
Preston at home next please.

Got it done in the end.

O’Reilly looks like he could be a great player, we need to keep him - no Palmer situation again.

If Eddie leaves I don’t think Ortega is good enough to be our first choice.

Bernardo and Gundo are done, really need to leave in summer. I’d prefer we keep Grealish but play him centrally.

Gutted Ake injured again. Vitor Reis looked decent though!
