So having joined the cup schemes etc I thought I was getting a half decent deal. Have never slagged the club for pricing etc as I understand they have to make money however when I get in work this afternoon and find out that I could get tickets for £15 for Plzen and I have paid £28 I find it a little galling to say the least.
Surely this has to be brought up/highlighted or maybe it has.
It's not the price of £28 as I thpought that fine,it's the fact that any blue in the sports and social can buy a ticket for £15 which has annoyed me somewhat.
Years and years of loyalty apparently mean fuck all.
Just proves that we are seen as cash cows at times.

Why not price it at £15 for cup scheme members????

You're absolutely right to moan, but don't bother complaining SHB - You'll probably just get a voucher for a free pie.

I was wondering if it was worth speaking to someone at the club but I will probably be told to get lost.
It isn't the cost of my own ticket. It's the fact that anyone can get one for £15 if you have been or not ever...Joke

No doubt the club can do nothing wrong brigade will be along soon to say its Platini's fault and that all revenue is good revenue even if it is at the expense of fans who year in year out stump up the cash for these games at whatever going rate is asked.

It creates new customers, some of who might become mug enough to fork out £58 for the likes of Arsenal in the league.
And gets rid of existing ones which is becoming the norm

Thats the thing mate..me and my lad pay out up 800 notes pre season without fail yet get charged more than any person wanting to go at my work for a cup ticket.
Clevers..re the new customer..cant agree not one of them will be getting season cards or league games ..they are going simply because of cost

Well they want more of the tourist type customers, they bring in much more money, its not right, but it is the reality of it, and giving cheapo offers away to anyone develops the customer base. The choices available for the loyal fan are take it or leave it. Been saying this since the takeover (before Platini's grand plan) , but nobody wanted to believe it then, instead some were even telling us the sheik would give the tickets away to thank us for our loyalty through the shit times.

You must have missed all these new customers that a thread starts about after every home game then ? The ones who have ruined the atmosphere ?

The £15 tickets are to avoid a very low crowd. Yes SHB this is taking the piss. £20 tickets for all adults and £5 for youngsters would have been fine

Have to laugh at the JCLs ruining the atmosphere. Moved down to the Kippax for the Moscow game and had to check if a few of the veterans were still alive.

Of course they are, didn't dispute that, but they are also attracting new people when not enough of us can be bothered, and the do help develop the customer base, people who will all have addresses, emails, and phones, to be contacted again later.
